Personally, I do not believe that effective resistance to the police state will begin until a sufficient number of people are genuinely displaced from their comforts. I have often said, the lesser of two evils... is still evil. Where public policy and elections are concerned, there is not a rat's @$$ of difference between the national "R" and "D" parties. That's why we always have "politics as usual" in D.C. It's by design, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the "will of the people". That's why voter disgust is at record highs. However, people keep voting the same way they have done before, either "D" or "R", expecting a different result than before (the epitome of insanity).
When individuals fail to uphold their duties of office, we vote them out. When parties fail the people, we vote the party out. When both major parties have betrayed the American people, we must have a peaceful revolution and vote both of them out and go with a third option. That option today is the Libertarian Party. If you don't like them, there's the Constitution Party. But for God's sake, don't keep voting "D" or "R" because you think it's the lesser of two evils!
The more people get disgusted with BOTH the R's and D's, the more I end up reminding people there are alternatives. Perhaps sweeping out the R's & D's at the state and national levels will give them something to think about, and snap them back to the reality of what voters REALLY want! Our nation and all of the states were never intended to have a two-party system, a duopoly of political power. Because of the exclusion of political competition, our liberty has been diminished.
