Maj. Gen. WILLIAM A. FLATT is the former Secretary of Defense to the 3rd Continental Congress and current commander for the Indiana Militia Corps.
William has served as a correctional custody officer for the state of Indiana, and previously worked as a police dispatcher, private security consultant and Military Police Platoon Leader in the Indiana Guard Reserve. He has earned distinction as an Eagle Scout and an adult scout leader; and has participated in many other community groups and projects. Although Mr. Flatt is religiously opposed to the taking of degrees, he possesses several years of formal college education in public affairs, criminal justice, and military science. He has continued his education with over a decade of self-education and other courses.
Mr. Flatt's militia credentials include 4 years of Army ROTC (Reserve Officer) training, which he completed with honors. After being injured during training after enlisting for active duty in the United States Marine Corps, he returned home to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice at Indiana University. It was during this time that William became aware of the domestic threats to our Liberty and the designs made against our Constitution. He left the IU Police Department to pursue plans for preparedness against these threats, relocating to East central Indiana in 1999. During this time, he began covert intel gathering on the UN, CFR and PNAC activity for the subversion of the US Constitution.
William concluded his investigations and warned militia leaders in the fall of 2000 about the threat of U.S. government-spawned 'terrorist' attacks within the United States and the government's secretive development of a "homeland defense command" which would act as an internal security agency. After 9/11, his critics were silent. Soon after, William was approached by many patriots throughout Indiana and asked to start a new militia organization that did not have the deadweight and internal problems of other militias. Thus, the Indiana Militia Corps was started.
In 2003, the Third Continental Congress awarded William Flatt with a commission as Major General and placed him in charge of the Continental Militia Network, known as the 3CC-DoD.
William is deeply troubled about the increasing deployment of America's active duty soldiers in any part of the world other than at home along our borders. He is concerned that we are pursuing an Orwellian vision of perpetual war on foreign soil while our own borders go unsecured. With the assistance of fellow patriots, he is quietly building our nation's citizen-soldier defense in the firm expectation that Americans will have to defend their communities from foreign invaders for the first time in decades.
William is happily married to Alissa, and currently has one daughter, Zoe.
Maj. Gen. Flatt continues to write commentary for several patriot publications, including Jack McLamb's Aid and Abet Police & Military Newsletter. You may also read new material at the IMC website.
